A rattling can be heard from the camcorder.
- The internal lens fixture can move when the camcorder is turned off. This is not a malfunc-
tion.
Memory Cardand Accessories
Cannot insertthe memorycard.
- The memory cardwas not facing the correct direction. Turn the memory card over and insert
it (_] 42).
Cannot record on the memory card.
- The memory card isfull. Delete some recordings (_ 58, 94) to free somespace or replace
the memory card.
- Initialize the memory card (_l 43)when you use it with the camcorder for the first time.
- The LOCK switch on an SDor SDHCmemory card isset to prevent accidental erasure.Change
the position of the LOCKswitch (_[_] 164).
- A compatible SD/SDHC memory card must be used to be able to record movieson a memory
card (_] 41).
- The folder and file numbers have reachedtheir maximum value. Set I_;_l 0 [Photo Number-
ing] to [Reset] (_ 144) and insert a new memory card.
- The simultaneous recordingoption in the FUNC.menu is set to [SimultaneousRecording Off].
Changethe setting to take photos while recording video (_ 99).
The wireless controller will not work.
- Set _ 0 [WirelessRemote Control] to [On].
- Replacethe battery of the wireless controller.
Connectionswith ExternalDevices
Video noiseappears on the "IV screen.
- When using the camcorder in a roomwhere a TVis located, keep a distance betweenthe
compact power adapter and the power or antenna cables of the TV.
Playback looks fine on the camcorder but there is no image on the "IV screen.
- The video input onthe TVis not set to the video terminal to which you connectedthe cam-
corder. Selectthe correct video input.
There is no sound from the "IV.
- When connectingthe camcorder to an HDTVusing the CTC-IO0/SComponentCable, make
sure to connect also the audio connections using the white and red plugs of the STV-250N
StereoVideo Cable.
