ERROR CAUSE
MESSAGE
Document Jam The document scanned from ADF
was longer than about 35,4
inches,
The document is jammed in the
machine,
DR Mode in The machine is setto Distinctive
Use Ring mode. You can not change
the Receive Mode from Manual to
another mode.
High
The print head is too warm.
Temperature
Ink Empty One or more of the ink cartridges
is empty. The machine will stop all
print operations, While memory is
available, black and white faxes
will be received into memory, If a
sending machine has a color fax,
the machine's 'handshake' will
request that the fax be sent as
black and white, If the sending
machine has the ability to convert
it, the color fax will be received into
memory as a black and white fax.
The print head is too cold.

Set Distinctive Ring to Off.

Allow the machine to cool down.
Replace the ink cartridges,

Low Allow the machine to warm up.

The media card is either
(MFC-620CN corrupted, improperly formatted,
only) or there is a problem with the
media card.
Near Empty
One or more of the ink cartridges
are running out of ink. If a sending
machine has a color fax, the
machine's 'handshake' will
request that the fax be sent as
black and white, If the sending
machine has the ability to convert
it, the color fax will be received into
memory as a black and white fax.
An ink cartridge is net properly
installed.
Re-insert the card firmly into the slot to make
sure it is in the correct position. If the error
remains, check the media drive by inserting
another media card that you know is working.
Order a new ink cartridge,

No Cartridge Take out the ink cartridge and put it in again
seating it properly.
