the Silverware
Basket
NOTE: The silverware basket tops can be forded up to accommodate large or oddly-shaped items.
With the silverware baskettops down, load the silverware basketfollowing the patterns suggestedin Figures8 (for standardbasket) and
9 (for flexib(e basket).Place knives with their handles up. and forks and spoonswith their handlesdown.
If large or oddly-shapeditems are to beloaded into the silverware basketwith the tops up, loadthe items so that they do not nest together.
Load knives and sharp utensilswith their handlesup,
CAUTION
The sharp points and edges of knives and other sharp utensils can cause serious injuries. Load knives and other sharp utensils with
sharp points and edges down. Do not allow children to handle or play near knives and sharp utensils.
The Standard Silverware
Basket
This basketfits in the front-middle of the lower rack.
The Flexible Silverware
Basket
This basketis designed for maximum versatility The basket splitsalong its length, resulting in two halvesthat may be placed in a variety
of positionsin the tower rack, greatly increasingthe tower rack'sloadingversatility.
To split the Flexible Silverware
Basket:
1. Grasp the basketas shown in Figure 10A, and slidethe two halvesin oppositedirections,as shown in Figure 10A,
2. Pull the two halves apart, as shown in Figure 10B.
Some suggestionsfor placing the two halves in the lower rackare shown in Figure11.
