QUILTING

A quilt always consists of three layers of
material.
The top middle and bottom.
The top layer is formed by multiple
geometrically shaped pieces of materials
joined together.
No. 1 Straight stitch (Center Needle
Position)
No. 6 Hand look Quilting Stitch
Straight Stitch / Quilting Foot, Quilting Bar
CAUTION: To prevent accedents.
When you use Straight stitch / Quilting foot,
do not move the needle position from center.

A. Joining the pieces of fabric

Join the pieces of fabric using Pattern No. 1
with a seam allowance of 1/4 inch (6.3 mm)

B. Quilting

Sew three layers of material.
Use quilting bar to sew successive rows.
Insert quilting bar into the hole of presser
foot holder and set the space as you desire.

C. Hand Look Quilting Stitch (No. 6)

Use invisible nylon sewing thread or very
lightweight thread that matches the fabric on
top.
Place thread that contrasts to the color of the
fabric on the bobbin.
Set the upper tension to maximum.
When you sew, bobbin thread will pull to the
top and give the appearance of a traditional
hand quilting stitch.

GATHERING

No. 1 Straight stitch (Center Needle
Position)
Gathering Foot
1. Remove the presser foot holder and
attach the gathering foot.
2. Sew a single row or multiple rows of
straight stitches. Pull the lower thread
together more of the material.
3. If more gathering is required, loosen the
upper thread tension so that the lower
thread lies on the under side of the
material.
4. Pull the lower thread to gather more of the
material.

COSTURA DE COLCHAS

Los acolchados siempre constan de tres
capas de tela; la superior, la del medio y la
de abajo. La capa superior está formada por
piezas de diversas formas geométricas o
materiales unidos entre sí.
Patrón No. 1, Puntada recta (aguja en el
medio)
Patrón No. 6, Puntada de apariencia manual
para colchas
Pata para Puntada Recta / Pata para
Acolchados
PRECAUCIÓN: Para evitar
accidentes.
Cuando use la parta para puntada Recta/Colchas,
no saque la aguja de la posición de centro.
A. Unión de las tres piezas de tela
Para esto use el patrón No. 1 con una
tolerancia de costura de 6,3 mm. (1/4").

B. Acolchado

Cosa las tres capas de material.
Use la barra para coser filas sucesivas,
insertándola en el orificio del sujetador de la
pata prensora y gradúe la separación como desee.
C. Puntada con apariencia manual para
colchas (No. 6)
Use hilo de nylon invisible o un hilo muy
delgado que haga juego con la tela superior.
Coloque un hilo que haga contraste con el
color de la tela en la bobina.
Gradúe la tensión del hilo superior al
máximo.
Al coser, el hilo de la bobina aparecerá por
encima y dará la apariencia de una costura
tradicional a mano.

RECOGIDOS

Patrón No. 1, Puntada recta (aguja en el
medio)
Pata Recogedora
1. Saque el portapata e insértele la pata
recogedora.
2. Cosa una o varias filas de puntada recta.
Para mayor recogimiento de la tela, jale el
hilo inferior.
3. Si se necesita recoger más tela, afloje la
tensión del hilo superior, para que el hilo
inferior quede en la parte inferior de la
tela que se está cosiendo.
4. Para mayor recogimiento de la tela, jale el
hilo inferior.
