INSERTING ZIPPERS
CENTERED INSERTION
No. 1 Straight Stitch (Center Needle
Position)
Zipper Foot (E)
CAUTION: To prevent accidents.
Zipper foot should be used for sewing center
needle position straight stitch No. 1 only. It is
possible that needle could hit the presser
foot and break when sewing other patterns.
1. Baste the zipper opening to the seam line.
a: Top stitch,
b: End of opening,
c: Basting
d: Wrong Side of fabric
2. Press open the seam allowance.
Baste the zipper tape.
Place the open zipper face down on the
seam allowance with the teeth against the
seam line.
3. Attach the zipper foot.
Attach the left side of the presser foot pin
to the presser foot holder when sewing
the right side of the zipper, and right side
of the presser foot pin to the holder when
sewing the left side of the zipper.
4. Stitch left side of the zipper from bottom to
top.
5. Stitch across the lower end and right side
of zipper.
Remove the basting and press.

COSTURA CENTRADA DE

PRECAUCIÓN: Para evitar
accidentes.
La pata para cremalleras debe usarse sólo
para coser con la aguja en posición central
con puntada recta. Podría ser posible que la
aguja golpee la pata prensora y se rompa si
se usan otros patrones.
1. Hilvane la abertura de la cremallera a la
línea de costura.
a. Puntada superior.
b. Extremo de la abertura
c. Hilván
d. Revés de la tela
2. Estire las cintas de la cremallera hacia los
bordes.
Hilvane las cintas a la tela.
Coloque el lado de la cremallera con la
cara visible hacia abajo con los dientes
contra la línea de la costura.
3. Instale la clavija del lado izquierdo de la
pata prensora cuando cosa el lado
derecho de la cremallera y la clavija del
lado derecho cuando cosa el lado
izquierdo de la cremallera.
4. Cosa el lado izquierdo de la cremallera de
abajo hacia arriba.
5. Cosa a lo ancho del extremo inferior y el
lado derecho de la cremallera.
Descosa el hilván y planche.
