Making, answering and ending calls

making a call

To make a call:
1. Press pHONE/
-Or-
Press /spEAKEr to use the speakerphone, then
wait for a dial tone.
2. Use the dialing keys to enter the telephone number.
On-hook dialing (predialing):
1. Use the dialing keys to enter the telephone number
(up to 30 digits).
• Press and hold
dialing pause (a p appears).

affect the elapsed time.
• When a handset is on a call, if another handset attempts to access the directory, speed dial
list or caller ID history, the screen shows NOT AvAILABLE AT THIs TImE.

Temporary ringer silencing

To silence the ringer temporarily on that handset only:
• While the telephone is ringing, press
muTE/
DELETE
To silence the ringer temporarily on the telephone base:
While the telephone is ringing, press /-vOLumE on the
•
telephone base.
This turns off the ringer without disconnecting the call. The next incoming
call rings normally at the preset volume.
note: Unless the ringer volume is turned off on that handset, each handset rings when there
is an incoming call.
