Now, at the Windows login prompt, you can choose to log on
the domain.
You can now enjoy domain related features (roaming profiles,
centralized user account management... etc.).
If the domain credentials are stored in a Neoware Image Manager
virtual HD, the Neoware Domain Wizard uses the client IP address
to retrieve the security data relative to each client. This data makes it
possible for the client to connect to the domain (the personalized
data are stored in a CVol file that uses the client IP address). It is
therefore essential that each client always get the same IP address.
To achieve this you can use client host name and static DHCP
entries (DHCP reservations). If a client IP address changes, it must
be added to the domain again.
When you need to add a new client computer to the domain, if the
Neoware Domain Wizard has already been applied to the virtual vol-
ume, you do not need to re-apply it. You just need to make the new
client computer boot on the virtual volume in the same way that you
added the clients previously. Make sure that this client has access to
the disk where the Domain Credentials are stored, then make this cli-
ent leave the domain and join it again, just as you did for the other
clients.
It is possible to add Neoware Image Manager clients to the domain
without having to sit in front of each client to perform domain mem-
bership subscription. You can use the Microsoft resource tool
