Ind$File Settings

File Transfer Program
Factory default: ind$file
This specifies the name of the file transfer program. Currently only IND$FILE is
supported.
Host Type
Factory default: MVS/TSO
This specifies the type of operating system or environment used by the remote host.
MVS/TSO
VM/CMS
MVS/CICS
Data Format
Factory default: Binary
Files can be transferred in Binary or ASCII format.
Selecting Binary will cause the file to be transferred in its original format without
any translation. This is required when transferring programs.
Selecting ASCII will cause the file transfer to be in text format. Text files on the host
are in EBCDIC format while those on the IBM emulation are in ASCII. The file
transfer program will convert ASCII files sent from the IBM emulation to the host
into EBCDIC format so that they can be read on the host.
CRLF Delimiter
Factory default: Unselected
The setting of this option determines whether or not Carriage Return and Line Feed
characters are included at the end of lines in a transferred file.
Append To Existing
Factory default: Unselected
This only applies to MVS/TSO and VM/CMS host types. The setting of this option
determines what happens when a file being transferred has the same name as a file
that already exists at the receiving end. When unselected, the existing file is
overwritten by the transferred file. When selected, data in the transferred file is
appended to the existing file.
