Install the Software Driver

Install the software driver on a computer using the Windows 98, Windows 98 Second
Edition, Windows 2000 or Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me) operating system.
There are two different drivers, the LAN (Local Area Network) or WAN (Wide Area Network)
driver. The instructions in this chapter can be used for either the LAN or WAN driver, the
installation procedure is identical for both. If you are not sure which driver you should
install, see the previous section What Driver to Install for more information.

Install the Driver

Before starting the software setup process, close all windows and quit any application
programs you are running. The installation procedure presented here is the same for
Windows 98, 98SE, Me, 2000, XP* operating systems.

Follow these steps to install the software driver for the Modem:
1. Insert the DSL-200 Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. The system should
detect the installation program and run the program automatically. If installation
does not begin automatically after a few seconds, find the start.exe icon located
on the CD and double-click it. To view the contents of the CD, open My Computer
from the desktop, and right-click on your CD-ROM. Select the " Explore" option
and this will reveal the folders and files on the CD.
2. Click the Driver Install button. A notification message will appear indicating that
the setup process has begun.
