Installation
This guide provides the information you need to install a
replacement or new hard drive. This guide covers SCSI and
IDE hard drives.
Installing a hard drive is a process consisting of seven
procedures that must be done in sequence:

Prepare for installation.

Remove an existing drive (if applicable).

Set the jumpers on the new drive (if applicable).

Install the new drive.

Set up the new drive.

Partition the new drive (manual setup).

Format the new drive (manual setup).
