Adjusting the TV and VCR
The input selection of the TV and VCR varies ac-
cording to how the connections have been made,
so be sure to make the settings correctly. (After
making the settings, follow the playback procedure
on pages 24 - 25 to confirm the setting.)

Selecting the video output format
Video CD is recorded in PAL or NTSC format.
Select the video output format (NTSC or PAL) that
matches your TV or VCR.
To select the video output format :
Press the PAL/NTSC button.

Each time this buton is pressed, the format will
change in the following order :
When you watch a PAL source disc in the NTSC
mode or an NTSC source disc in the PAL mode,
the vertical size of the picture will not be modi-
fied.
If a multi-mode TV is equipped with an input se-
lector switch, set the switch to "MULTI MODE" .
For the details, refer to the TV operation manual.
Do not change the video output format during
playback. If you do, the picture signal may not
be output properly.
Picture may be distorted when the setting is
switched. This is not the malfunction of the unit.
A few hours after the AC power plug is unplugged
from the AC socket, the setting will be reset to
PAL (which is the factory setting).
