Matching the Acoustic Eff ect to the Conditions

Carry out the "AUTO ROOM EQ" (P.48) procedure beforehand.
This procedure then allows you to select the sound mode
based on the selected sound eff ect and your listening
conditions.

Press the [ROOM EQ
MODE] key.

Press the [SOUND
CONTROL] key to select
the sound mode.
The display changes as shown below.
The [ROOM EQ MODE] indicator fl ashes while setting is in progress.

Press the [ENTER] key.
The [ROOM EQ MODE] indicator lights when "R.EQ WIDE", "R.EQ NIGHT",
"R.EQ LIVE" or "R.EQ VOCAL" is set, and turns off when "NORMAL" is set.
"ROOM EQ MODE" will not work prior to automatic setup or when "R.EQ
OFF" is selected.

Select "ROOM EQ
MODE" by pressing the
[SOUND SELECTOR]
key.
Turn the [SOUND
CONTROL] knob to select
the sound mode.
This mode faithfully reproduces the results of
the ROOM EQ measurements.
This mode allows you to enjoy music with no
discernible loss of quality over a relatively wide
area centered around the measurement position.
This mode enhances the reproduction of
highly melodic music when you are listening
at low volumes, as with late-night listening.
This mode creates an environment with complex
reverberations, similar to a concert hall.
This mode provides enhanced reproduction
of vocals and speech.
