CHANGE PB TAPE
Image format which is different from the one set in the PB
FORMAT*
TAPE item on the VIDEO FORMAT[2/2] menu screen is be-
ing played back.
LOW VOLTAGE*
Battery is low.
TAPE NEAR END*
There are less than 3 minutes remaining on the tape (flash-
es only when recording).
TAPE END*
Displayed when the tape ends.
CHANGE 1394
Recording or playback video format and the IEEE1394 set-
SWITCH*
ting is different when connected to the IEEE1394 port.
SWITCH TO VTR
Tried to use the FF or REW button in camera mode.
MODE*
HEAD CLEANING
Displayed when the video head is dirty. (Head clogging was

detected during an edit search in shooting mode as well as
during playback and displayed.)
CLEANING TAPE!
Displayed when a head cleaning tape is inserted.
COPY GUARD!*
Tried to play back a copyguarded tape.
FAN MOTOR HOUR
Over the prescribed fan motor usage time.
PUSH CASSETTE
The videocassette cover is not firmly shut.
COVER*
CHANGE THE SYS-
Displayed when you attempt to change FRAME RATE item
TEM*
in the VIDEO FORMAT menu screen.
* When status indications are magnified, warnings are not displayed on the LCD monitor.

Status
Check the setting for the PB TAPE item.

Charge the battery pack or replace it.
To continue shooting, find a new tape or replace the tape.
Replace the tape.
Set the IEEE1394 switch correctly, turn the power off and
then on again.
Press the CAM/VTR button to set VTR mode.
Clean with a special head cleaning tape.

The display disappears when the head cleaning tape is re-
moved.
Cannot play back a copyguarded tape.
Please contact your local dealer or JVC.
Lightly push the top center of the videocassette cover.
When the FRAME RATE item setting is changed, the frame
rate system for this device is changed. Check the frame
rate to use before changing the setting.
