Defrosting windshield and side
windows
f Press knob B.
The windshield and side windows are demisted
or defrosted as quickly as possible.
The air only flows to the windshield and the
side windows.
The symbol in the switch lights up red.
When the defrost function is switched on, the
following also takes place:
– the door mirrors are heated,
– whenever outside temperatures exceed
approx. 37°F/3°C, the air-conditioning
compressor is switched on,
– if circulating-air setting was switched on, it will
be deactivated.
f Press knob B again to end the defrost function.
Switching air-circulation setting
on and off
f Press knob C.
The outside-air supply is interrupted and only
the inside air is circulated.
The symbol in the switch lights up red.
Warning!
Risk of accident due to impaired vision.
In air-circulation setting, the windows can fog
up.
f Only select circulating-air setting for short
periods.
f If the windows fog up, end air-circulation
setting immediately by pressing the knob again
and press the knob B so that the windows will
be vented.
Note on operation
If the air conditioning compressor is switched off
or for vehicles without air conditioning, the circu-
lating-air setting is limited to 3 minutes.
