Stage 2 – Attention, flat tire
(from 6 psi (0.4 bar) loss in pressure)
The pressure in the tires has dropped by more
than 6 psi (0.4 bar). This significant pressure loss
is a danger to road safety.
f When the tire pressure warning has appeared
on the on-board computer, stop immediately at
a suitable location. Check the tires for signs of
damage. If necessary, fill in the sealant of the
tire repair kit and fill up the tire again.
This tire pressure warning appears when driving
and can be acknowledged.
The tire pressure warning light in the instrument
panel goes out when the tire pressure has been
corrected.
Note
For a short time after changing a wheel or
replacing a wheel transmitter, a warning appears
when pressure loss is detected without wheel
position and tire pressure specifications.
f Manually check the tire pressure on all wheels
and fill the tires.
f Please observe the chapter "WARNINGS IN
THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND IN THE ON-
BOARD COMPUTER" on Page 81.
Changing a wheel and replacing tires
After changing a wheel, the tire pressure
monitoring system requires some time for the
current tire pressure specifications to appear in
the tire pressure function of the on-board
computer.
After mounting new wheels, the tire pressures of
the previously mounted wheels are displayed.
As soon as the tire pressure monitoring system
detects newly installed wheel transmitters, " -,- "
appears on the on-board computer instead of the
pressure specifications.
If the tire pressure monitoring system then detects
the new positions of the wheel transmitters, the
new pressure specifications appear in the Tire
pressure menu and in the tire pressure function of
the on-board computer.
