7�1 Audio Connections
For two front speakers, two surround speakers, two surround back speakers, a
center speaker, and a subwoofer for 8-channel (7�1) audio:
1� Connect the male 1/8-inch stereo mini-plug end of a "Y" adapter to the Front
L+R Surround jack on the SMC's rear panel�
2� Connect the adapter's left-side RCA plug to the A/V receiver or powered
speaker's left input and the adapter's right-side RCA plug to the receiver or
powered speaker's right input�
3� Connect the mini-plug end of a "Y" adapter to the Center/LFE jack�
4� Connect the adapter's LFE RCA (right) plug to the receiver or powered
speaker's subwoofer input and the adapter's center RCA (left) plug to the
receiver or powered speaker's center input�
5� Connect the mini-plug end of a "Y" adapter to the Rear L+R Surround jack�
6� Connect the adapter's left-side RCA plug
to the A/V Receiver or powered speaker's
left rear input and the right-side RCA plug
to the receiver or powered speaker's right
rear input�
7� Connect the mini-plug end of a "Y" adapter
to the side L+R surround jack�
8� Connect the adapter's left-side RCA plug
to the receiver or powered speaker's left
surround input and the adapter's right-
side RCA plug to the receiver or powered
speaker's right surround input�
