3.7.3. Disk

Use the disk page to format the 2big Network's disks
and view information about the disks and RAID level.
To view information about the RAID mode, click on
the RAID tab.

3.7.3.1. Formatting Disks

Click Format disk
disks and delete all data.
Formatting erases ALL data on the 2big
CAUTION:
Network. Back up important files to another device be-
fore formatting.

3.7.3.2. Adding additional storage space

You can add additional storage space to your 2big
Network by connecting external hard drives to the USB
expansion ports.
1. Turn on the 2big Network.
2. Turn on the external hard drive.
3. Connect the hard drive to one of the 2big Network's
USB expansion ports with the included USB cable
(Fig. 3.7.3.2-A).
4. In the Web Administration Page, click on the Disk
tab.
5. The external hard drive will be listed under the sys-
tem disk.
To safely disconnect an external hard drive:

CAUTION:
can cause file corruption or data loss.
1. Click the
Eject
connect (Fig. 3.7.3.2-B).
2. Click OK on the confirmation dialog.
3. The 2big Network will eject the drive. The drive may
appear to still be mounted to the 2big Network. If
the Eject button no longer appears, it is safe to dis-
connect the USB cable.
