ROGRAMMING THE
In the factory default, the optional MH-68
tions have been assigned to the "WX CH". This may be changed by the user if you wish to
assign quick access to another function.
To change the assignments for the MH-68
1. Press and hold the [ VOL/SEL ] key for one second to activate the Menu mode.
2. Rotate the DIAL knob to select Menu Item "F20 MIC PRGM".
3. Press the
key to enable selection of this Menu item.
4. Rotate the DIAL knob to select the function you wish to assign to the [ PGM ] key. The
available choices are:
Disable the noise and tone squelch systems.
MONI:
T CALL: Activates 1750 Hz Tone Burst
Engages the Smart Search operation.
SSCH:
Engages the ARTS
ARTS:
Switches the display between indication of the frequency or the channel's
TAG:
Alpha/Numeric label while receiving on the memory channel.
Allows 1-MHz tuning steps while receiving in VFO mode.
MHz:
Engages the Scan operation.
SCAN:
Recall the CLUB channel.
CLUB:
Switches operation to the Weather Channel bank.
WX:
SQLLVL: Selects the Squelch Threshold Level
TX LOW: Selects the Transmitter Power Level.
Sets the Repeater Shift Direction.
RPTR:
SQL TYP: Selects the CTCSS/DSC Operation.
Reverses the Transmit and receive frequency during split-frequency opera-

tion.
Selects the CTCSS frequency.
TSQLF:
DCODE: Selects the DCS code.
5. Press the [ VOL/SEL ] key to save the new setting and exit to normal operation.
