The following table identifies and describes the parameters that may be set using the REMOTE MENU screen.

[OFF] This parameter is used to select a method for controlling external devices connected
via the RS-422A REMOTE terminal or the DV IN/OUT terminal).

When setting this item to 9PIN (MASTER), DV (MASTER) or DV (SLAVE), the video
output image becomes the REMOTE CONTROL screen display. However, video input
can be checked by press and holding the REC button while DVD Recorder is stopped
and viewing the encode output.
[OFF] This parameter is used to indicate whether or not the REC CONTROL panel is to be
ON displayed on the monitor screen.
ON : The REC CONTROL panel is to be displayed only when a recordable disc

OFF : The REC CONTROL panel not to be displayed.
[FF/REW] This parameter is used to select the command output via the RS-422A REMOTE
SEARCH terminal or DV terminal when the FF or REW button is pressed on the REMOTE
CONTROL (9PIN MASTER/DV MASTER) screen.
[F R] FF/REW : A FF or REW command is to be output accordingly.
SEA SEARCH : A forward-search or reverse-search command is to be output accordingly.
This button is used to return to the Setup Menu screen.
: Control is not to be carried out via the RS-422A REMOTE terminal
or the DV IN/OUT terminal. This is the standard setting for normal
operation.
