Removing The Battery - APRILIA SCARABEO 50 2T - 2005 Manual

If necessary:
u Make sure that the ignition switch is in
position " ".
u Disconnect first the negative (-) and then
the positive cable (red) (+).
u Brush with a wire brush to eliminate any
sign of corrosion.
u Reconnect first the positive cable (red)
(+) and then the negative (-) one.
u Coat the terminals of cables and battery
with special grease or Vaseline.
u Refit the battery, see
(INSTALLING THE BATTERY).

CAUTION
Battery is attached to electric cables.
Do not pull the cables when removing
the battery.

COMPLETE REMOVING
u Disconnect first the negative (-) and then
the positive cable (red) (+).
u Disconnect the breather pipe.
u Remove the battery, and put it on a flat
surface in a cool, dry place.
Once removed, the battery must be
stored in a safe place and kept away
from children.
