Optional flash is charging

CF card full
CF card not formatted

Mode dial is set to lock
No CF card installed or no
images on CF card
Solution(s)
• Wait to press the shutter button
until the flash charges and the
indicator changes from flashing
red to steady red.
• Replace the CF card.
• Erase all or some of the card's
images to create space.
• Reformat the CF card.
• If reformatting does not work, the
logic circuits of the CF card may
be faulty or damaged. Please
consult the nearest Canon
Customer Support Help Desk.
• Set the mode dial to play.
• Install a CF card that contains
images.
