Before removing the SSD, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Disconnect the battery cable from the computer (see
Remove the SSD:
1.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 3.3 screws (1) that secure the SSD and shield to the computer.
2.
Remove the SSD shield (2).
Retain the SSD shield because you will need it when you install an SSD. The SSD shield is not
available as a spare part component.
3.
Lift the edge of the SSD (3) opposite the slot until it rests at an angle.
