Using the Built-in DC Light (for VM-H675LA/
VM-E575LA)
Use the built-in DC light if you wish to shoot objects in dark places.
When the LIGHT switch is set to
"
AUTO", the light turns on automatically when the camcorder Is pointed
at objects in a dark place and turns off when it is pointed at objects in a bright place,
CAUTION: Since the power consumption of the light is high, the camcorder operating time will decrease
even with a fully charged battery.
J Make sure that a fully charged battery pack is
attached.
2 Set the CAM/ OFF/VIDEO switch to CAM and
then set the LIGHT switch to AUTO when
required.
Note: When the LIGHT switch is set to ON, the
light will turn on whenever you make a record¬
ing.
Note: If the LIGHT switch is set to AUTO, the light
may not turn on immediately.
Note: If the light turns on for more than 5 min¬
utes with the LIGHT switch set. to "AUTO" or
"ON", when the camcorder is in the record
pause mode, the camcorder and light will
automatically turn off. In such a case, turn the
camcorder on again.
Note: If the LIGHT switch is set to AUTO and the
camcorder is pointed at a white subject with
high reflectivity in a dark place from a short dis¬
tance, the light may turn on or off, In this case,
set the LIGHT switch to ON.
Note: The light will turn off during quick edit or
review, even if you have manually turned on
the light,
Note: The light will not turn on when the CAM/
OFF/VIDEO switch is set to VIDEO,
Note: if there is no cassette in the camcorder,
or if a. recording prevented cassette is inserted
with the LIGHT switch set to AUTO, the light will
automatically go out after 5 minutes.
CAUTION: Turn the light on only when you need
it, otherwise the operating time of the battery
pack is shortened due to the power consump¬
tion of the light,
CAUTION; Do not hold the unit by the
light when carrying as this could cause
a malfunction.
>2 After use, set the LIGHT switch to OFF or set the
CAM /OFF/ VIDEO switch of the camcorder to
OFF position.
Notes:
*
During operation and/or after use of the
light, the front surface and lamp of the light
will be very hot. To avoid burns or hair dam¬
age, do not touch them with your hand.
*
When the tight is on, do not allow water to
drop on the light.
*
When the light is on, avoid subjecting the
light to impacts or sharp vibrations,
*
Do not cover the light with paper or other
objects, since the air flow will be interrupt- ..
ed, resulting in possible overheating haz¬
ard.
*
Never use the light in the vicinity of explos¬
ive or highly inflammable materials,
*
After using the light, cool the light section
sufficiently before storing the camcorder in
the case,
*
The lamp can only be replaced by a ser¬
vice engineer: If the lamp has blown, con¬
sult your nearest service center.
