A title contains two lines of up to 16 characters per line. The camcorder contains 81 different characters
for creating a title.
Note: Be sure to insert the clock battery .'before creating a title. Although a title can foe created without
. ' the clock battery inserted. It will disappear when the battery providing power to the camcorder is
■ removed.
\ Connect the.camcorder to a power source.: .
2 Hold down the small button on the CAM/
OFF./ VIDEO switch and slide it to either CAM
or VIDEO.
g Press the TITLE button and a flashing cursor
appears in. the viewfinder or on the LCD moni¬
tor.
Note: If a stored title appears, press the PLAY
button to display the screen for creating a title.

^ Use the FF button to place the cursor where you
wish to begin your title.
EJ Use the PLAY and STOP buttons to select the
first character of your title.

g Once you've selected a character press the FF
button to set it.
7 Complete the title by repeating steps 5 and 6.
JANE'S BIRTHDAY
g Press the TITLE button. The color select mode
will be engaged, and you can now color the cre¬
ated title.
Press the PLAY" or STOP button to select the
desired title. You can choose from seven colors:
white, yellow, cyan, magenta, red, green and
blue.
Note: If the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch is set to
VIDEO, you cannot select color: the title will
appear in white,

(J When you complete your .title, press the TITLE
button to store the title in memory and remove
the title graphics from the viewfinder or LCD
monitor.
Note: As long as the correct current time can
be displayed, the title is held in memory.
Note: If you display the date along with the
title, after selecting the color, the date will be
displayed, in the same color.

Correcting Errors
A Hold down the TITLE button for at least 3 se¬
conds: The first character will flash. .
2 Use the FF button to select the character to be
corrected. -
g Use the PLAY' and STOP buttons to correct the
character. ,
A Press the TITLE button, and use the PLAY/ and
STOP button to select the desired color.
Note: if the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch is set to
VIDEO, you cannot select color; the title will
appear in white,
EJ Press the TITLE button to store the corrected
title in memory.
