8.2.7 Sensor and Switch Circuits
(1) The purpose of the home position switch is to move the carriage to a reference position (home position) at
the left end of the carriage when the power switch is turned _on or when a Reset signal is generated.
When the carriage comes to the home position, IP4 (pin
) changes from H to L level.
(2) A bottom/rear paper out sensor is provided. When this sensor detects paper out, IP5 (pin
) changes
from L to H and the LED flashes to indicate paper out status.
(3) A CSF/Friction paper out sensor is provided. When this sensor detects paper out, IP6 (pin
) changes
from L to'H and the LED flashes to indicate paper out status.

(4) If paper feed selector switch is set to the friction position, IP7 (pin
) is H and if set to the tractor

position, IP7 (pin
)is L.
