6.5 End of Paper Detector
The printer has two photo interrupters used for
detecting paper out in continuous or a single paper
feed. The upper photo interrupter is mounted under
the
upper
slot.
The
bottom
and
rear
photo
interrupters are mounted
under the tractor drive
mechanism, and their contact levers are respectively
placed in the upper slot, in the bottom slot and under
the tractor pin wheel. When paper is out, the contact
lever shuts off the photo switch by breaking the light -
beam, and a signal is sent to the CPU.
