WARNING
- Never turn off the engine before the veh icle

t ion of the brake booster and the power
steering is not guaranteed. You must use
more force to turn or brake if necessary . Be-
cause you cannot steer and brake as you

Additional informat ion
The eng ine will switch off in the P, D/S and N po-
sitions as we ll as in manua l mode. In the P pos i-
tion, the eng ine will a lso remain off if you take
your foot off the brake pedal. The engine starts

again when you select another se lecto r lever po -
sition and take your foot off the brake pedal.
If you se lect t he R posit ion d uring a Stop phase,
the e ng ine will sta rt ag ain.

You can determine for yourself if t he engine will
stop or not by red ucing or increasing the amount
of force you use to press the brake pedal. For ex-
amp le, if you only ligh t ly press on t he brake ped-
a l in st op- a nd and-go traffic or when tu rn ing, the
engine will not switch off when the veh icle is sta -
tiona ry. As soon as you press the brake down
harder, the engine will switch off .

- Press the brake peda l during a stop phase to
keep the vehicle from rolling.
- The ignit ion will turn off if you press the
