The follow ing informa t ion is cont inuo usly evalu-
ated by the trip computer and can be displayed
sequent ia lly in the inst rument cluste r display:
Fuel range
The estima t ed cruising range in miles (km) a p-
pea rs in t he d isp lay. This tells you how far your
vehicle will be able to trave l on the curren t tank
of fuel and with the same driving style. The dis -
play changes in increments of 5 miles (10 km) .
Average fuel mileage
The aver age fuel economy in MPG (l/ 100 km)
since you las t clea red the memory appears in t his
d isplay. You can use this d isplay to adjust your
d riving technique to ach ieve a desired mileage .
Current fuel mileage
The instantaneous
fue l cons umption in miles per
gall on (l/ 100 km) is shown in th is display. You
ca n use th is d isp lay t o adj ust your dr iving tech ni-
que to achieve a desi red mileage .
Fue l cons umption is re calc ula ted at inte rvals of
3 3 yards (30 meters).
Average speed
The average speed in mph (km/h) si nce the last
time the display was reset appea rs in the disp lay.
Elapsed t ime
The length of time that you have been driving
since you last reset the memory appears in t his
d isplay .
Distance
The distance that has been covered since the last
time the memory was cleared appears in the dis-
play.

Tips
- Fuel consum ptions (average and current),
range and speed are displayed in metric
units on Canadian models.
- All stored val ues will be lost if the vehicle
batte ry is disconnected .

The trip computer is equipped with two fully au-
tomatic memories as well as an efficiency pro-
gram*.

Single-trip memory (Trip computer 1)
The sing le-trip memory sto res the tr ip info rma-
t ion from the time the ignition is turned on unt il
it is tu rned off . If the t rip is continued with in 2
hours from the time the ign ition was t urned off,
th e new data will be include d in t he calcu lation of
t he cur rent t rip information . If t he tr ip is int e r-
rupte d for more than 2 hours t he memo ry is re-
set aut om atically .
Total-trip memory (Trip computer 2)
Unlike the single-trip memory, the to t al-tr ip
m emo ry is not rese t a utomat ically . This permi t s
yo u t o eval uate your dr iving dat a fo r t he e ntir e
per iod between m anu a l rese t s.

The eff iciency program can he lp you to use less
