<Caution>
®This unit can record the S-VHS tape in both S-VHS and
VHS
modes.
Therefore,
make
sure that the S-VHS
Selector on the editor is set to the same mode as the
recorded
tape when
editing. If the insert editing is
performed in combination of the S-VHS and VHS modes
on the single tape, the mode changing will occur at the edit
point, and the fine editing cannot be performed.
Rewind the tape by at least 3 seconds from the edit start
point until the picture to be played back appears.
During insert editing, recording takes place by means of
the control signals on the pre-recorded tape. Be sure,
therefore, to perform editing on the pre-recorded portion
of the tape.
eUnless tracking
is optimum, the rotating head
may
sometimes
prevent
clean
reproduction
from
being
obtained at the edit start and end point. To prevent this,
optimize the tracking before editing. (See page 20.)
®You cannot perform insert editing of a video signal or HD
Sound signal alone. If, for example, you insert only a video
signal, the HD previous Sound at that point will be erased.
