Search Mode.
®|f you press the Search Button once again (or Play Buttton
@) while a search is taking place, the lamp will go out, and
normal playback will be resumed.
@ Search Dial
Press the Search Button @ and the unit is placed in the
Search Mode. Then rotate the Search Dial @ and search for
the desired video. By rotating the dial clockwise, playback
will take place in the forward direction ([>lamp lights); by
rotating it counterclockwise, playback will take place in the
reverse direction (<diamp lights). By pressing the dial, the
Shuttle Mode or Jog Mode will be alternately activated each
time the dial is pressed. Also, alamp at the left of the dial will
light to indicate the activated mode.

can activate the Direct Search
Mode
by simply
operating the dial, without any need to press the Search
Button. (This does not apply to video recording, however.)

your unit.
Jog Mode
This mode is used when searching for the editing points in
frame units.
The dial has been pressed in slightly.

By turning the dial, you can vary the speed from a still
picture to 1/5th speed slow playback.
When you stop turning the dial, a still picture will be
obtained.
