eThe unit is checking if the film is set correctly. Wait for a while.
eThe unit is detecting whether the other party's machine is a fax or is sending a
calling tone. Wait for a while.
• The other fax machine does not have a polling feature. Check with the other
party.
• The receiving unit is busy or ran out of recording paper. Try again.
• The document is jammed. Remove the jammed document (p. 109).
eAttempted to transmit a document longer than 600 mm (23%"). Press the STOP
button and remove the document (p. 109).
Divide the document into two or more sheets and try again.
eThere is too much paper on the paper stacker. Remove the printed paper. If the
display message still remains after removing the paper, a paper jam may have
occurred. Remove the jammed paper (see "When paper has jammed near the
recording paper exit" on page 108).
eThe starter film is empty. Replace the film or film cartridge with a new one (p. ! 10,
111).
eA transmission error occurred. Try again.
