10. Leave spa cover open during this step to allow
excessive chemical vapors to exit spa, protecting plastic
knobs and pillows on Edison, McKinley, Peyton, Prado,
Ramona and Tacoma models from chemical attack. If
spa is indoors, open doors and windows for proper
ventilation. Turn on all spa jets pumps for one hour, open
all air controls. On McKinley and Ramona (Figure A) and
Denali (Figure B) models, place the Massage Selector or
Diverter Jet in their center "combo" position as shown
(right).
Note: You will need to press the jets pump button(s) every
20 minutes since these functions have an automatic 20
minute time-out function that turns them off.
WARNING:
!
CHEMICAL VAPORS.
To decrease the risk of injury, drowning or entrapment,
never leave your hot tub unattended for any reason while
the cover is open and accessible, especially to small
children and animals!
Precautions should be taken to minimize your exposure
to chemical vapors (that could cause lung, brain, or skin
damage).
11. Turn off power to the spa at the circuit breaker, then drain spa as
outlined in Section 11.2 (page 35).
12. Refill spa with clean tap water from garden hose until water covers
all jets. (DO NOT OVERFILL!)
