Turning off the xSeries Hosting Appliance

Turning off the xSeries Hosting Appliance refers to the act of disconnecting the
xSeries Hosting Appliance from the power source.
Statement 5:
CAUTION:
The power control button on the device and the power switch on the power
supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. The device
also might have more than one power cord. To remove all electrical current from
the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.
Complete the following steps to turn off the xSeries Hosting Appliance:
1. From HostingDirector, shutdown the appliance.
2. Press the power-control button on the front of the xSeries Hosting Appliance.
This puts the xSeries Hosting Appliance into standby mode.
3. Disconnect the xSeries Hosting Appliance from the power source.
Note: After you turn off the xSeries Hosting Appliance, wait at least five
seconds before you turn on the xSeries Hosting Appliance again.

Standby mode

Standby mode puts the xSeries Hosting Appliance into a wait state. When in a
wait state, the xSeries Hosting Appliance is not running the operating system, and
all core logic is shut down.
Complete the following steps to put the xSeries Hosting Appliance into standby
mode:
1. From HostingDirector, shutdown the appliance.
2. Press the power-control button on the front of the xSeries Hosting Appliance.
