System Checkoll t and Troll bleshooting
Before returning the computer to the customer, ensure that the computer
is operating properly by performing the following checks:
1. Make sure all circuit boards and connectors are properly installed.
2. Make sure all wires are routed properly to prevent pinching, contact
with sharp edges, or contact with hot surfaces (high wattage resis-
tors).
3. Make sure all switches and jumpers are properly configured.
4. Make sure all screws, mounts, barriers, and covers are installed
in their proper location and tightened securely.
5. Turn the computer ON and carify that the unit will pass the power-up
test
6. Run the disk-based diagnostic test on the computer.
7. Load and run MS-DOS.
8. Connect all peripherals and verify their correct operation.
9. Run the unit for an hour or more to check for thermal or intermittent
problems.
