Refer to Figure 6-4 for the test arrange-
ment. While using a DVM or YOM to
monitor the voltage across the two termi-
nals of the battery, place a

resistor across the terminals for approxi-
mately 10 seconds. Did the voltage drop
below 12 volts? 7 d
7 d Replace the battery and return to step 7.
7 e The battery is considered to be good. In-
stall the battery into the computer.
