Installation a
C. Fine tuning stations (AFT)
This VCR is equipped with Automatic Fine Tuning (AFT),
which normally provides the best possible reception
quality. If a station is weak, manual fine tuning may be
necessary.
Proceed as follows:
1. Press the MENU button and choose CHANNEL
SET-UP by pressing the SHUTTLE G3 button.
2.
Select the channel to be fine tuned by pressing the
JOG & or & buttons.
3. Now press the SHUTTLE 0 button.
4.
Press the number 2 button and then press the
number 1 button to switch the AFT to OFF.

A bar will appear which shows the current position of
the frequency band. Confirm that the AFT is OFF.
5.
Youcan fine tune the channel by using the FF and
REW buttons.
6.
if you wish to fine tune further channels, repeat
steps 2 to 5. To exit press the MENU button.
Stations not already stored in the VCR can be
tuned in and stored, without having to go
through the 'Auto set-up' function again. In step 4, press
the number 2 button and ensure that the AFT is set to
ON.
If itis set to OFF, press the number 1 button. The
following display should appear.

You can now search for a station not already
stored by using the FF or REW buttons.

the VCR reverts to a "blue background" (see
'Advanced features - Blue background' on page 22).
D. Skipping vacant channels
Up to 60 channels can be stored in your VCR.
If not all
channels are in use (i.e. noisy or weak stations) these
can be skipped so that they are not selected by using the
JOG & or & buttons.
Proceed as follows:
1 .
Press the MENU button and choose CHANNEL
SET-UP by pressing the SHUTTLE G3 button.
2.
Select the channel to be skipped by pressing the
JOG & or & keys, e.g. 11 and press the SHUTTLE
[3 button.
3.
Press the number 1 button. (Asmall "s" will appear
next to the channel you wish to skip.)

4.
Press the SHUTTLE 03 button twice and repeat
steps 2 and 3 to skip further stations.
5.
Press the MENU button to quit from this function.
If you change from channel to channel by using the JOG
or J buttons, you will find:....8, 9, 10, 12, 13.... ie.
number 11 is missing (skipped).
