Front Panel Controls

@ POWER BUTTON
Press this button to turn the power on. Press again to turn the power off, then the STANDBY/MUTE indicator lights
up and it switches to the standby mode.
When you press the INPUT FUNCTION SELECTOR buttons in the standby mode, the power is automatically
turned on and the program source is selected.
It can also be used as a system power button, if you connect the components to the switched AC outlet.
Sherwood DIGILINK II and IIT components wiu automatecall be switched on and off through the DIGILINK system
@ SPEAKER A, B SELECTOR SWITCHES
" These switches allow you to select various combinations of speakers as follows ;
* Press A or B switch to turn on either pair of speakers.
« Press A and B switches to turn on both pairs of speakers.
« When using headphones for private listening, press A and B switches again to turn off both pairs of speakers.
NOTE : If both speaker switches are pressed to turn on and only one pair of speakers is connected to the receiver, no
sound will be heard from the connected speakers.

* The surround mode must be switched off to allow remote B speakers to produce all signals.
@ HEADPHONE JACK
Stereo headphones with a standard 1/4 inch plug can be plugged into this jack for private listening.
¢ The surround mode must be switched off for headphone listening
@ TUNING UP/DOWN BUTTONS
Press these buttons to change the selected AM or FM frequency.
(©) FM MODE BUTTON
Press this button to select stereo or mono mode when listening to FM broadcasts.
@© AUTO/MANUAL TUNING BUTTON
Press this button to select auto or manual tuning.
@ DIRECT BUTTON
Press this button to enter directly the frequency of the desired station.
MEMORY BUTTON
Press this button to memorize the desired station frequency.
@ 30 STATIONS RANDOM PRESET TUNING BUTTONS
Use these buttons to memorize or recall the preset number of the desired station frequency. When selecting a two
digit number, the second dight should be pressed within 2 seconds after the first digit has been pressed.
BASS CONTROL
Adjust the low frequency level with this control according to your taste and room acoustics.
