Memory backup battery replacement
If "Err. 9" is shown on the display after
the unit is switched on, the internal
battery for memory backup is exhaused.
In this condition, the data stored in the
user memory are lost and new data
cannot be stored. Contact your dealer or
an authorized Sony service facility
regarding battery replacement.
In normal use, the backup battery should last over 8 years, but
to be on the safe side, we recommend replacing the battery
after a period of about 5 years. As user memory data are lost
during the replacement, important parameter values should
first be written down, for example in the User Memory Data
Chart on page 46.
If you have any question or problem concerning your unit that
is not covered in this manual, please consult your nearest
Sony dealer.
