Engine oil. Check level
The oil level must be within the marked range on the
dipstick and must be checked daily before starting the
first time.
Engine oil. Filling
Top up the oil through the filler opening (1) in the
valve cover. Make sure the correct level is attained
but wait a few minutes to allow the oil to run into the
oil sump.
IMPORTANT! Do not fill above the maximum oil
level. Use only oil of the recommended grade
(see the previous page).
Engine oil. Change
Always observe the recommended oil change in-
terval. Use a manual oil scavenging pump (op-
tional equipment) to suck the oil out of the sump.
IMPORTANT! Only use recommended grades
of oil (see previous page).
1. Warm the engine up (this makes it easier to suck
the oil up from the sump). Then stop the engine.
WARNING! Hot oil and hot surfaces can
cause burns.
2. Connect a hose to the outlet pipe of the oil scav-
enging pump. Suck the oil out.
3. Change the oil filters and the by-pass filter at ev-
ery second oil change (please refer to the instruc-
tion on the next page).
4. Fill up with oil to the correct level.
