Sending an Emergency Alarm with
Emergency Call
This feature gives your radio priority access on a channel
for conventional system, and to a talkgroup for trunking
system.
If the radio has both emergency call and alarm features
enabled, it automatically proceeds to the call mode after
the alarm is acknowledged.
1 Press the preprogrammed Emergency button.
The display alternates Emergency and the home
display. A high-pitched tone sounds, indicating that
the trunked system central controller has received
the alarm. A dispatcher acknowledgment (four high-
pitched tones) follows, accompanied by an Ack
received display.
2 Hold the radio vertically 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5.0 cm)
from your mouth.
3 Press and hold the PTT button. Speak clearly into
the microphone.

second.
