    6875947M01-HM Read Me First 1.2.1 Cleaning the External Surface of the Radio Prerequisites: CAUTION: Do not use solvents to clean your radio. Spirits may permanently damage the radio housing. Do not submerge the radio in detergent solution. Procedure: 1 Combine 1 teaspoon of mild dishwashing detergent to 1 gallon of water (0.5% solution). 2 Apply the solution sparingly with a stiff, non-metallic, short-bristled brush, ensuring that excess detergent does not get entrapped near the connectors, controls, or crevices.

    6875947M01-HM Read Me First 1.3.8 Conventional Talkgroup and Radio Scan Enhancements Enhancements have been made to the Conventional Talkgroup at the system to improve the Scan feature operation significantly when multiple agencies are using a single conventional radio frequency channel. These enhancements allow you to use Selective Squelch to operate on only the subset of talkgroups that are relevant to the users rather than all talkgroups on the channel.

Other users in the current talkgroup cannot hear the one-to-one call between the two radios. The calling radio automatically verifies that the receiving radio is active on the system and can display the caller ID.

The lack of static on a digital channel when the users switch from analog to digital radios is not an indication that the radio is malfunctioning. Digital technology quiets the transmission by removing the noise from the signal and allows only the clear voice or data information to be heard.

ViQi ViQi is a virtual assistant that helps you manage your radio and perform information lookups using voice commands. This feature is purpose-built for public safety and is active when you press the assigned ViQi button on the radio, Remote Speaker Microphone (RSM), or compatible mobile microphone.

    6875947M01-HM Advanced Features Call Alert Paging This feature allows your radio to work like a pager. If other users are away from their radios or if they are unable to hear their radios, you can send them an individual call alert page. You can also verify if a radio is active on the system. Depending on how your radio is programmed, if there is no answer after the maximum ring time or when you press the PTT button for an Enhanced Private Call, the radio automatically sends a call alert page.

    6875947M01-HM Advanced Features 6.9.11 Impact Detection This feature activates Emergency mode when the radio detects a force of gravity impact or orientation changes on the vehicle in the event of a vehicle crash or rollover. The radio automatically activates Impact Detected condition when the impact event meets or exceeds a predefined threshold. The radio must stay in this condition for a preprogrammed amount of time before the Emergency Alarm or Call is activated.
