Chapter 5 : Home Screen Overview
When
A channel is now available for your previously
requested transmission.
If the PTT button is pressed, this tone indicates
the system is accepting your transmission.
The Scan feature is activated through the pre-
programmed button.
The Scan feature is deactivated through the
preprogrammed button.
If the PTT button is pressed, this tone indicates
the system is out of service.
If the PTT button is pressed with the Smart PTT
feature enabled, this tone indicates the channel
is busy.
If the PTT button is pressed, this tone indicates
the radio is not in the range of the trunked radio
system.
The radio enters a mode with no normal system
traffic, or is attempting something not permis-
sible. Examples include: forgetting to exit the
telephone interconnect mode after a call ends
(fleet and subfleet calls cannot be received),
attempting to transmit on a receive-only con-
ventional mode, attempting to select a dynamic
mode with no dynamic ID assignment.
The radio is turn off when no user actions occur
during a preprogrammed length of time.
The trunked system central controller fails in
an unmuted receiving condition. The radio re-
verts from trunked operation to a system similar
to conventional radio repeater operation. Other
system users can be heard sharing the chan-
nel.
The transmission of the radio will soon be disa-
bled.
If you press a valid key, enter a feature con-
figuration state, or receive/transmit in the clear
mode on secure models with TX Clear Alert
Tones enabled.
If you try to make an invalid key press, or an
emergency alarm, reprogram request, or sta-
tus/message is not acknowledged.
