1. Add a password to the root administration user account.

root@# set system root-authentication plain-text-password
password

Retype new password:
2. (Optional) Configure the name of the router. If the name includes spaces, enclose the name in
quotation marks (" ").

root@# set system host-name
3. (Optional) Create a user account.
[edit]
root# set system login user
password
New password:
Retype new password:
4. (Optional) Set the user account class to super-user.
[edit]
root# set system login user
password
host-name
