Safety Information

WARNING!

Failure to follow all warnings and instructions on the restraint
system could result in SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH.
FIT REQUIREMENTS
• Harness Mode: Use only with children who weigh between
11.3 and 30 kg (25 and 65 lbs) and whose height is between
85 and 125 cm (34 and 49 in.) and are at least 2 years of
age.
• Booster Mode: Use only with children who weigh between
18 and 54 kg (40 and 120 lbs) and whose height is between
112 and 160 cm (44 and 63 in.).
• Snugly adjust the belts provided with this child restraint
around your child.
INSTALLATION
• Secure the top tether strap provided with this child seat
in harness mode. It is recommended that the top tether
strap is used in booster mode.
• Use only the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt system when
restraining the child in this booster seat.
• Secure this child restraint with the vehicle's lower connector
system if installed in a seating position that is equipped
with a lower universal anchorage system or by means of a
vehicle seat belt and by means of a tether strap.
GENERAL USAGE
• Follow all instructions on this child restraint and in the
written instructions.
• Register your child restraint with the manufacturer.
• The top tether must be used at all times when installing the
child seat in harness mode. Using the top tether will improve
the stability of your child seat and reduce the risk of injury.
• Britax strongly recommends that children should remain
in a child seat with a 5-point harness until reaching the
maximum weight or height allowed.
• Use this seat forward-facing only.
• This child seat must be used in the upright position in
booster mode.
• This child seat can only be used in the following classes
of vehicles: multi-purpose passenger vehicles, passenger
cars, or trucks.
• In a vehicle with rear designated seating positions, vehicle
owners should be alerted that, according to accident
statistics, children are safer when properly restrained in the
rear seating positions than in the front seating positions.
To ensure your child's safety, please study Vehicle Seating
Positions on page 37 and consult your vehicle owner's
manual.
• To prevent injury due to deterioration or hidden damage,
discontinue use of this child seat when it is older than nine
(9) years or has been in a moderate or severe crash. See
expiration date on Serial Number and Manufactured Date
Label located on the child seat shell. See page 2.

GROW WITH YOU CLICKTIGHT / PLUS User Guide
• Always make sure the child restraint system is secured to
the vehicle, even when unoccupied, since in a crash an
unsecured child restraint system may injure occupants.
The unoccupied child seat can be secured to the vehicle
by attaching the lower connectors to the lower anchors in
the vehicle, or by fastening the vehicle seatbelt across the
unoccupied child seat.
• The use of non-Britax covers, inserts, toys, accessories,
or tightening devices is not approved by Britax. Their use
could cause this child seat to fail Canada Motor Vehicle
Safety Standards or not perform as intended in a crash.
• The primary protection for occupants of a vehicle in a
collision is the body of the vehicle itself; a child seat will
not protect a child when a vehicle is seriously impacted.
However, correctly installed, a child seat will substantially
improve chances for survival in most crashes. Make sure
all users fully understand the correct ways to use this
child seat in a vehicle.
• Grow With You ClickTight Plus - Prevent the Side Impact
Cushions from being punctured. Puncture damage will
cause the cushions not to perform as intended in a crash.
Important Notes
• Before each use, check this child seat and its
components to make sure they are in good condition
and good working order.
• Do not install with LUAS for a child weighing more than
18 kg (40 lbs) in harness mode.
• Discontinue use of this child seat if it has been in a
moderate or severe crash. It is not necessary to replace
a car seat after a minor crash defined by the US National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as:
a. The vehicle is driveable from the crash site; and
b. The vehicle door nearest the child seat was not
damaged; and
c. No vehicle occupants were injured; and
d. There is no visible damage to the child seat; and
e. The airbags (if present) did not deploy.
• Cover the child seat when the vehicle is parked in direct
sunlight. Metal parts of child seat could become hot
enough to burn a child.
• Store the child seat in a safe place when it is not being
used. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.
• Do not, except as described in this booklet, attempt to
disassemble any part of the child seat or change the
way the harness or vehicle's seat belts are used.
• Never use the harness or adjuster strap to lift or carry
this child seat. Doing so could damage the harness
adjuster and webbing. Always carry this child seat by
the shell or tether straps.
• Third party recommendations are subject to change, so
we recommend you visit their websites for the most up
to date recommendations.
