Disconnect negative cable

Connect a battery charger to the 12-V battery. Switch on the
battery charger.

In addition, this battery charger can be used to test the open-
circuit voltage, the starting ability of the 12‑V battery, and the
alternator. In addition, you cannot overcharge the 12‑V battery
with this device.

Charge the 12-V battery to a maximum of 10 % of the
capacity specified on the battery housing.
