Check
AC adapter is not connected
correctly.
Power of connected device is not
turned on.
The volume of the connected amp or
mixer is turned down.
Volume of the VK-8M is too low.
Volume of the connected keyboard,
amp or speaker has been turned
down.
The expression pedal is not
depressed.
If there is sound in the headphones,
it is possible that a cable connecting
the VK-8M to your amp/mixer is
broken, or that your amp/mixer is
malfunctioning.
All harmonic bars are pushed all the
way inward.
The wheel brake is activated.
The input sound level is low.
The setting of the [INPUT] button is
"Active Exp," and the expression
pedal is not depressed.
You use a connection cable that
contains a resistor.
The part that reflects the harmonic
bar settings is not selected correctly.
On a tone wheel organ, a slight
"blip" noise is heard when you press
or release a key. Initially, this was
considered a defect, but as organs
with this characteristic came to be
used in a wide range of music, it
grew to be considered part of the
sound. The VK-8M faithfully
simulates this key click noise, which
is characteristic of tone wheel
organs.
Tuning is incorrect.
Ring Modulator is applied to the
organ voice.
Solution
Connect the AC adapter correctly.
Turn on the power of the connected
amp or mixer.
Raise the volume of the connected
amp or mixer.
Turn the [Master Volume] knob
toward "Max."
Raise the volume of the connected
keyboard, amp or mixer.
While carefully monitoring the
volume, depress the toe of the
expression pedal.
Check your cables and amp/mixer
system once again.
Pull out the harmonic bars.
Release the wheel brake using the
foot switch, D Beam.
While continuing to monitor the
volume level, turn the INPUT
[VOLUME] knob to increase the
level.
While carefully monitoring the
volume, depress the toe of the
expression pedal.
Use a connection cable that does not
contain a resistor.
Press the [H-BAR PART] button to
select the part that will reflect the
settings of the harmonic bars.
The volume of the click can be
adjusted with "ON CLICK LEVEL"
and "OFF CLICK LEVEL."
Adjust the reference pitch.
Operate the D Beam to defeat the
ring modulator.
