Roland VK-8M Supplementary Manual

The parts shown below (ferrite core) are installed on the AC adaptor cord of the VK-8M.
Do not remove the ferrite cores that are wound onto the AC adaptor cord. Doing
so may cause faulty operation of the VK-8M.
■ Installing the ferrite core
If you purchase a new AC adaptor, it will not have a ferrite core on its cord. To use a new AC adaptor with the VK-8M, you must
first install ferrite cores.
As shown below, install ferrite cores in two locations on the cord.
Approx. 20 cm
1. Line up the ferrite cores with the installation
positions on the AC adaptor cord.
2. Wind the cord two times around each ferrite core.

3. Close the ferrite cores by pushing until the two
sides click into place.
NOTE
Be careful not to pinch your fingers when installing the
ferrite cores.
Be careful not to jam the cord by closing the
ferrite cores with too much force. Damaged
cords can easily become a shock or fire
hazard.
