Setting the limiter

The limiter prevents distortion when signals that are too loud are input
suddenly.
The limiter function can be turned on or off.
Setting items (default value underlined)
OFF / ON
1.
When the Home Screen is open, press the MENU button to open
the Menu Screen.
2.
Use the . [j] and / [k] buttons to select 03: LIMITER, and
press the 7'9 [ENTER] button.
3.
Use the . [j] and / [k] buttons to select the setting item,
and press the 7'9 [ENTER] button.
NOTE
Distortion of sounds may occur when signals that are very loud are
input even if the LIMITER function is activated. In such a case, change
the Menu Screen 01: REC LEVEL item setting to lower the recording
level, or increase the distance of the mic from the sound source.

Setting the auto level function

When the input sound level is too low or too high, this function can
automatically increase or decrease the recording level to an appropriate
level.
The auto level function can be turned on or off.
When this function is on, the input level will be adjusted automatically in
response to the input audio.
Setting items (default value underlined)

When the Home Screen is open, press the MENU button to open
the Menu Screen.

Use the . [j] and / [k] buttons to select 04: AUTO LEVEL,
and press the 7'9 [ENTER] button.
3.
Use the . [j] and / [k] buttons to select the setting item,
and press the 7'9 [ENTER] button.
NOTE
If the 04: AUTO LEVEL item on the Menu Screen is set to ON, it will be
reset to OFF when the 01: REC LEVEL setting is changed.
When this happens, "AUTO LVL Cancel" will appear in a pop-up message
for about one second.
To use the auto level function, after setting the 01: REC LEVEL item,
set the 04: AUTO LEVEL item to ON again.
