GSB 15 Removal
Remove the GSB 15 using the following procedure:
CAUTION
The GSB 15 Decorative Cover is only intended for a single installation. The cover may be
damaged during removal. A damaged cover should not be re-installed. Contact Garmin to
order a replacement.
1. Disconnect the GSB 15 connector.
2. Remove the four screws securing the adapter plate to the instrument panel, if installed (refer to
Figure 5-7).
3. Slide a flat tip screwdriver into the slot and pry the P/N 125-00627-03 decorative cover away from
the P/N 115-03439-00 intermediate cover. Loosen the two screws and remove the P/N 115-03439-
00 intermediate cover (refer to Figure 5-8).
4. Loosen the screws and remove the GSB 15.
5.5.2
GSB 15 Re-installation
1. Re-install the GSB 15 per Figure 5-6 or Figure 5-7 and torque screws accordingly.
2. Install the intermediate cover using the two provided screws and torque per Figure 5-8.
3. Peel off the liners from the VHB tape in the intermediate cover. Avoid touching exposed adhesive
after the VHB tape liners are removed.
4. Clean the inside of the decorative cover with isopropyl alcohol and allow it to dry before
installation. Press the cover in place and apply evenly distributed force of 7 lbf (3 kg/30 N)
minimum. The adhesive is fully cured within 72 hours (90% strength after 24 hours).

GSB 15 Checkout
Perform the GSB 15 Connection Check as described in Section 5.9.5.
