Connect the Air and Fluid Lines
to the Gun Manifold
See Fig. 1 and 2 , page 8 and 9, for a schematic
of air and fluid connections. Connect the air and fluid
lines to the gun manifold as shown in Fig. 5 .
See Accessories to order Graco Electrically Conduc-
tive Air Supply Hose. This hose and the gun have spe-
cial left-hand threads to prevent connecting another
type of air supply hose to the turbine air inlet.
Turbine Air Inlet–TA
Connect Graco Electrically Conductive Air Hose between
fitting (left-hand thread) & solenoid. Connect the ground wire
on the air hose to a true earth ground.
Cylinder Air Inlet–CYL
Connect a 1/4" OD tube between fitting and solenoid. For
quicker trigger response, use the shortest hose length
possible.
Atomization Air Inlet–A2
Connect 3/8" OD tube between fitting and air supply.
Fluid Supply Inlet–P1
Connect a 1/4" npsm swivel fitting between fitting and
fluid supply.
Shroud Exhaust–EXH
Connect a 1/4" OD x 4' tube to fitting.
KV Select–KV
Connect a 1/4" OD tube between fitting and solenoid.
Fiber Optic–F.O. (Optional)
Connect Graco Fiber Optic Cable (see Accessories) ,
Fig. 5

Optional Fiber Optic Fitting

An optional fiber optic fitting (124) is shipped, unas-
sembled, with the gun. If an ES display module is
used, install the fitting in the manifold. Refer to Fig. 5 ,
note 7. See Fig. 2 , page 9, for a schematic of fiber
optic connections.
1. Remove the 1/8 npt plug (115) from the manifold's
fiber optic port and install the black fiber optic fit-
ting (124). See Fig. 6 .
2. Loosen the fiber optic fitting nut (E). See Fig. 7 .
3. Gently insert the cable (F) into the fitting and push
it all the way in until it bottoms out. To properly
position the cable, pull the cable back out about
0.5 in. (12.7 mm) and tighten the nut (E) to secure
the cable.
Installation
To reduce the risk of electrostatic shock or other
serious injury, the turbine air supply hose must be
electrically connected to a true earth ground. Use
Only Graco Electrically Conductive Air Supply
Hose and connect the hose ground wire to a true
earth ground.
Before connecting the fluid line to the gun, blow it out
with air and flush it with solvent. Use solvent that is
compatible with the fluid being sprayed.
